1 ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
1.1 REPORTS TO : Pharmacy Manager
1.2 RESPONSIBLE FOR : Pharmaceutical sales to institutional clients
1.3 LIAISES WITH : patients and doctors
Carries out the functions of inventory management, storage, and distribution
of items as well as documentation. Assists in tele-medications and dispensing
by taking approval and or by arranging medications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
3.1 The supervisor makes periodic checks and is available for advice on more
difficult problems but basically the Assistant Pharmacist helps the
pharmacists to maintain the inventory as well as arranging the same.
Place and receive orders for stock to maintain inventory.
Maintain proper drug storage and security.
Helps in arranging the medicines of the pharmacy based on expiry. Doing periodic expiry checking of all items as well as removing, the near expiry if any. (3 months prior to the expiry)
Checking all aspects of prescriptions, clarifying the doubts with the pharmacists as well as the insurance (if any) and arrange the medicines for the pharmacist to dispense.
Handling tele- prescriptions
Arranging home delivery for the bounced prescriptions, as well as the request in different business platforms
Help customers for non-prescription items.
Provide patients with non-drug product information.
Helps and ensures the quality of the established pharmaceutical indicators.
Strictly observes the organizations, medical regulations and policies related to the infection control,
patient safety, patient assessment and patient care.
Ensures complaints to all laws circulars and regulations related to the pharmacy profession.
Carries out all other assignment by the chief pharmacist, and dept. head.
OSH ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to be familiarize, comply, and implement the OSHAD-SF& OP Pharmacy Internal OSHMS policies and procedures/SOP's relevant to their department.
Staff should notify/report all OSHMS hazards, incidents, accidents and near misses within the premises of OP Pharmacy to their supervisor or department OSH Facilitator as per the incident reporting protocol of OP Pharmacy.
Staff is responsible to assist with the preparation of departmental risk assessment activities and implement the control measure within the timeframe.
Staff is responsible to attend applicable department OSHMS training.
Staff is not allowed to tamper or misuse any OP Pharmacy equipment's and its property.
Comply with all OSH instructions, safe working procedures and signages within the premises of OP Pharmacy
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedure.
Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone's health and safety.
Make proper use of all machinery, tools, substances, etc., safety systems and of all Personal Protective Equipment provided for use at work.
Participate in required OSH inspection, audit, and OSH monitoring programs
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS:
Pharmacy Diploma / Pharmacy technician Program of 2 years duration
Hold a current and valid license to practice home country without any conditions or limitations
Must have DOH License to practice.
3 years experience of pharmacy practice.
Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
