Arabic Linguist

Overview:
The opportunity

The Linguist will support the development of a conversational AI language
model. They will be part of a team, participating in an organized effort to
annotate and develop a large language corpus for collecting documents.

Core42 is the UAE's national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI,

Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities
* Construction of conversational content in target language pertaining to the domain of teaching various subjects.
* Evaluate AI model output and ranking responses from AI models.
* Track self-progress and produce structured and organized reports of work achieved.
* Collaborate with other annotators, Applied Scientists, and Data Engineers to establish requirements, understand challenges, and report bottlenecks in annotation tasks.
* Discover and report patterns in AI model behavior, wherever applicable.
* Fact-check content and Spell-check content.
* Evaluate/ grade output from other annotators.
* Identifying and removing bias, toxicity, or offensive content.
* Create task descriptions for annotators in English and target language in collaboration with AI team. Manage and train annotators for annotation tasks.
* Create example annotations for annotation team.
* Stay updated with current trends in data annotation techniques and constantly adapt in-house processes towards best practices.
Qualifications:
Skills and attributes for success
* Native speaker of target language + any dialects.
* Strong writing and verbal skills in target language and English (for internal team collaboration).
* Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in linguistics.
* Ability to learn and work with annotation tools with a Graphical User Interface.
