Aldar Education is seeking a Classroom Assistant (UAE National) for Al
Muna Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in the Academic Year 2023/24.
Al Muna Academy is in the heart of the city of Abu Dhabi and was recently
rated 'Outstanding' by ADEK - Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge
(ADEK) Serving over 700 students from Nursery - Year 6 we follow the National

Responsibilities:
Purpose:
Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction
and guidance of the SENCO/Class Teachers/Key Stage Leaders.
Key duties include:
* Provide support for individual pupils / groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in a range of activities during the school day and to provide for their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
* Be pro-active in matters relating to health and safety.
* Assist in the implementation of individual education programmes for individual pupils / groups of pupils and help monitor their progress.
* Support pupils with additional support needs e.g. emotional and behavioral difficulties and help to develop their social skills.
* Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records, attendance etc.
* Prepare and present displays of pupils' work.
* Support class teachers in photocopying, laminating, scanning and other tasks in order to support teaching.
* Support the aims of the school; comply with the requirements of health and safety, other relevant legislation, and school policies.
* Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.
* Attend team and staff meetings as required.
* Prepare materials and resources as required to facilitate effective learning.
* To help promote independent learning and build pupils' motivation and self esteem.
* Work with other professional's e.g. speech therapists, occupational therapists etc. as necessary.
* Giving group instruction as prescribed by the teacher/providing individual instruction.
* Demonstrating various instructional activities to aid in learning.
* Monitoring work assigned by teacher - checking and correcting pupils' work while in progress.
* Assisting class teacher in monitoring and keeping pupils on task.
* Praising and reinforcing achievements of pupils/reporting pupil progress to teacher.
* Reorganizing study materials at the end of the day.
* Supervising pupils in the classrooms and other locations within the school.
* Disciplining misbehavior in line with the whole school policy.
* Undertake other duties from time to time within reasonable remit of the role.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree.
Minimum Experience: Two years' experience in a similar role (desirable).

* English language skills or language applied in the school curriculum. Arabic language proficiency mandatory.
