About the Role
At GEMS World Academy Abu Dhabi, we are looking for a PE Teaching Assistant
**** to join us for the upcoming academic year. This is an exciting
opportunity for a specialised educator who is excited to join our world class

Responsibilities:
* Assist the physical education team in performing specific duties as assigned or undertaking specialised tasks.
* Assist in establishing and maintaining standards of student behaviour.
* Alert the teacher to special needs of individual students.
* Provide escort and assistance to children as necessary.
* Help maintain individual records for each student.
* Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
* Encourage safety habits in work and organizsed game activities.
* Set up equipment for class.
* Help maintain order in the classroom; monitor students to keep them on tasks.
* General knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques used in physical education
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students and
Minimum requirements:
* Swim Teacher Level 1 and Level 2 qualification.
* Sports Coaching/Leader qualification.
* Level 3 Sports qualification a necessity/degree study desirable/ambition to qualify as a PE Teacher.
* Have solid and demonstrable knowledge about behaviour management strategies, including encouragement of good behaviour and discipline.
* Be well-organised and an effective communicator to be able to influence students, parents, teachers and school leaders.
* Be willing to develop skills to acquire further knowledge and to continuously improve in a professional teaching and learning environment.
* Have belief that all students have the potential for high performance and support teachers' motivation, drive and passion as invaluable in enabling student success.
