About the School
Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi will be a UK curriculum day school
enrolling students from Early Years to Year ‎13 in the city 's prestigious
residential district Al Reem Island, next to the Sorbonne University campus.
Our new school will have the capacity for ‎3,000 students upon completion. Its
first phase of development, opening in September ‎2023, will include the Early
Years building and sports facilities, while the second phase opening in Summer
‎2024 will include the main Primary and Secondary classrooms.
About the Role
Teaching Assistants play an important role in creating a positive learning
environment for our students. Working under the supervision of a teacher, a
Teaching Assistant may work with children on an individual basis, in small
groups or with a whole class to embed day-to-day learning. Teaching Assistants
also contribute to monitoring the progress of students and provide feedback to
support the teacher in providing a more individualised approach to learning.
The role of Teaching Assistant - Languages will focus on supporting our MFL
teachers to deliver a diverse language programme across the school. We are
specifically looking for native speakers of French, German, Spanish or
Mandarin.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A native speaker of one of the following languages:

• A minimum of a high school diploma level education


• A minimum of ‎2-years experience working in a similar position


• A sound understanding of teaching best practice


• High level of fluency in written and spoken English


• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents


• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks


• High level of international and inter-cultural understanding


• An understanding of the British curriculum would be advantageous
  Ideally, candidates will already be based in the UAE.
