Job title: QC Lead- REMS
Job description:
Manage a team of QC inspectors based on workload at different functions of
ICAD plant SME and assessor of QC inspectors to manage their competencies.
Perform QC Inspection per the DBI and the internal process. Coordinates
the flow of materials, parts and assemblies according to the Production
schedule. Works with Managers to ensure proper resources are in place to
support WIP or work to be released.
* Releases orders into production per Production Schedule or as requested. Print drawings, Routing and other related materials to create production order packet for the floor or shipping packet for outside service operations.
* Monitors WIP in the area of responsibility to ensure adherence to the schedule and transaction accuracy. Provides status reports of WIP to appropriate parties to support progress updates
* Coordinates purchase orders for outside service operations Reviews production needs of Assembly or Manufacturing and determines priorities of action needed for unscheduled work. Assists with expediting the material movement of critical path materials and updates progress of WIP Production Orders
* Works with Engineering to ensure that routings are appropriate for work to be done. Assists in preparing Capacity Load files for the area, as well as to ensure proper resources (manpower and machine tools) are available to support WIP, especially for emergency or unplanned releases. Supervises and directs the other work of asset coordinators and WST technicians for the repair and preparation of assets and shipment coordinator to customer.
* Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming equipment from vendors / Customers and outgoing products for shipping. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications. Performs SAP transactions after completion of QC operations. Interpret machine shop drawings and understand machining symbols and tolerance limits and compare the same to the actual component. Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. Compile and upload the reports into server. Record workshop Nonconformance. Assist any certification, Customer, or Internal Audit. Visit customer facilities to inspect equipment. Identify areas of concern and report on quality problems as they arise and perform investigations and establish root causes, corrective and preventive actions.
* Perform stage Quality inspection as required by the job which includes but not limited to:
o Dimensional inspection. COUNTABILITIES:
o NDT (MPI, LP, UT)
o Hardness checks
o Visual Checks
o Light Band.
o Thread inspection.
o Coating inspection

Location: Abu Dhabi

You are meant for this job if:
* Minimum ‎2 years of experience in managing a team or supervisory role.
* Minimum ‎10 years of working experience in Quality Control or inspections. (Oil and Gas industry preferred)
* Min ‎4 years of experience on wellhead inspection or sound knowledge of well heads is preferred.
* API 6A knowledge required.
* Welding and Coating certifications preferred.
