The Prompter Operator rolls the scripts for the presenter. It is a gallery-
based role, working closely with production staff in a fast-paced Breaking
News Channel. Rundowns will often change with very little notice and you will
be expected to cross reference what is being offered on the prompter against
the producers running order. Even under pressure and possible loud noisy
environment, you should be able to focus on the prompter and follow the
presenters while they read. Key Responsibilities:
* Operate the prompter equipment in the studio and outside broadcast environments.
* Ensure that programme run‐downs and scripts are updated and uploaded.
* Liaise with production and the Studio Director.
* Listen actively to Producers and Studio Directors for any script changes and re‐loads.
* Conduct regular checks that PCs & departmental equipment are in working order.
* Ability to work in different shift pattern that covers 24 hours rota,
Key Skills, Experience and Education:
* BA in media related field is preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working on a prompter system in a live studio at a large broadcasting capacity.
* Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and good in English.
* Good communication and time management skills.
* Ability to remain focused at all times.
* Excellent hand‐eye co‐ordination.
* Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
